Scholarships

Celebration Barn strives to make all of its programming affordable for the artists we seek to serve. Scholarships play a vital role in making our in-person workshops accessible. In recognition of the history that has created vast inequities in the United States and beyond, we prioritize awards to students from historically excluded communities, especially Black, Indigenous, and People of Color.

Below you will find more information about scholarships for students and supporters.

For Students

Celebration Barn currently has a limited number of scholarships, most of which are designated for specific workshops. The majority of scholarships are partial, and they cover the balance of the registration fee, along with a bedding fee, for a double-occupancy room after the deposit has been paid by the student.

To be considered for a scholarship, please respond to the following prompt when completing your application:

If you would like to be considered for a partial scholarship if and when they become available for your workshop(s), please answer the following: How would this workshop advance your artistic or professional practice?

Decisions regarding scholarships will be made on or before May 1 and then on a rolling basis after that.

For Supporters

Supporting a scholarship offers donors a way to make a direct impact on a student’s experience at Celebration Barn.

Currently, we are raising $4,000 in four weeks to fund scholarships during the 2022 season! To give the gift of access today, click on the button below.

If you would like to underwrite or endow a scholarship, please contact Executive Artistic Director David Bruin to discuss how your gift can create an unforgettable opportunity for a student needing financial assistance.
