Shara Drew (she/her) helps nonprofit organizations thrive and create impact. She has worked in the fields of arts, education, and advocacy, following a passion that led her to Celebration Barn: our human right to play and create!

Shara has overseen projects and programs such as National Screen-Free Week (formerly TV Turnoff) and the Kids & Commercialism campaign at New Dream. She was first introduced to the Barn while working as project manager on the live orchestral CD/DVD Invention and Alchemy, a production by Barn alumna and composer/performer Deborah Henson-Conant. The project was nominated for a GRAMMY Award and broadcast as a PBS fundraising special.

Shara holds a master’s and bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She has won awards for teaching and photography, and currently volunteers with several national and local organizations. Shara has trained in eccentric performance with Avner Eisenberg at Celebration Barn.
